“For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in”

Matthew 25:35 KJV

Childhood hunger stops here.

Child hunger can seem like an abstract idea. It can seem like some terrible thing that happens to people you’ve never met, in other parts of the world, but for so many children that are right here in our community, it is their daily existence.

It is evident that the number of those in need is growing exponentially. To think that one child would go to bed hungry in this community is heartbreaking, but to know how many actually do is virtually incomprehensible. This is not a problem that only exists in bigger cities. This is a problem that is very real, and exists right outside our front doors.

TN Food on Foot was founded as a Christian-based nonprofit organization that began providing nutritious food bags to the hungry and homeless in the Lakeway area, with a focus on helping underprivileged children.

Over the years, God has helped us grow to meet the needs of underprivileged families in our community in many more ways. We provide school supplies, religious holiday events and toiletry bags to those in need. Learn more.

While we work to enhance the lives of our underprivileged neighbors, childhood hunger remains our biggest adversary.

Food on Foot’s hope for the future is that NO child will go hungry.
